Xavier's Cotes du Rhone Rouge comes from vineyards located in more than 20 different municipalities. All grapes grow on the slopes of Dentelles de Montmirail and as in most of Xavier´s wines the wine is based on Old Vine Grenache. The wine contains almost only ranks older than 80 years, which gives a natural concentration of the fruit. Of course, everything is harvested by hand and rigorous selection is therefore already made in the vineyard, which further "boosts" the wine. The wine always has a higher concentration compared to most other wines in the appellation and this modern fruit-driven Cotes du Rhone can withstand significantly higher Rhône wines.
