Ever since it was founded in 1835 the Renault Cognac house has been elaborating rare cognacs, while paying particular attention to mastering the essential step of aging in oak casks. Renault Age du Temps has undergone a unique three-stage ageing process. After a classic ageing of Renault eaux-de-vie from Cognac’s four main terroirs, the complex blend for Age du Temps is further aged in small lightly-toasted, fine-grained oak casks for several months. The eaux-de-vie are then put into small 40 year-old casks to finish maturation for a further 6 months, giving them triple cask maturation. This limited edition cognac has undergone a unique three-stage agening process giving it a rich bouquet of of intense aromas marked by ripe apricot, subtley bitter notes of orange marmelade and hints of soft warm spices and vanilla.
